Could this be baby?

I am 16 weeks and 3 days and I am sitting at work when all of a sudden I feel 3 or 4 little twiches/taps very low in my tummy. I guess it could be anything really but my first thought was maybe it is baby kicking?? I will be so excited if it is but I am not sure if its a little too early to feel baby while I am sitting.

I have to say that I am feeling a lot better this week than I was last week so I think finally the morning sickness is going. I do get very tired, especially at the end of the week but I am making sure I have a little walk and then early to bed every night.

We are off to my cousins wedding next weekend which I am really looking forward to. I haven't been to Melbourne for ages and none of my cousins/aunts have seen me pregnant yet so it will be lots of fun. I love weddings and cant wait to see Penny walking down the isle, she is my favourite of all the cousins so it will be very special.

15 week progress report

So I was really hoping that morning sickness would be gone by now but I keep having days where I am completely exhausted and feeling very sick. Yesterday (Tuesday) I had a shocker and was basically on the couch all day sleeping and practising the art of doing didly squat. I don't think being stuck in an office all week helps so I think if the morning sickness continues I am going to have to go part time at work come January.

I thought I would do a bit of an analaysis of my morning sickness paterns to date:

Week 5 - week 9 felt absolutely terrible and struggled to get through a full day of work so went to part time hours.

Week 9 - week 12 felt a little better during the day but horrible in the afternoon when I would often need to throw up.

Week 12 - week 15 feeling a little better again, have stopped throwing up and have gone back to work full time. By the end of the week I am struggling for energy and feel a lot sicker and I think the two go hand in hand so tiredness = nausea. I am feeling great on the weekends and not so great at work.

Thursday. Is it Friday yet?

I am just so sick of work at the moment. Its starting to warm up outside (finally) and I just want to lie out under a tree for the afternoon but no such luck, I have to go and type up crappy letters and sit in front of a computer for another 3.5 hours.

My best friend and I are trying out aqua aerobics tonight so that should be interesting. I was forced to buy a new pair of bathers becuase me every expanding tummy won't fit into any of my old ones. I hate trying on bathers, the entire activity should be outlawed in my opinion and we should be allowed to wear bra's and undies in the pool.....then again that would look pretty hideous also.

I had the yummiest tuna and salad sandwhich today at lunch, I know tuna is technically not allowed during pregnancy but I figured that a little bit surely cant hurt?

Anyway, better get back to work - yuck! Bring on the weekend

Pregnancy - The Story So Far

This is my first official blog so I am a bit excited.

My husband and I are expecting our first child in April 2009 so that makes me 14 weeks today. Everything is going really well so far and I am finally starting to feel somewhat normal after 7 weeks of terrible morning sickness (vomiting everyday and feeling exhausted and useless). It is a huge relief to know that feeling that crap does not last forever but it did make me wonder at the time what we had actually got ourselves in for.

Having a succesful 13 week scan made all the hard work worth it and I was so excited to see our baby wriggling about for the first time and looking like a proper little human as opposed to a scary lizard.

We have lots to get done and need to start buying everything from scatch but I personally am really looking forward to that.

I am not planning for this blog to be all about baby of course but more a general day to day or week to week update on where I am at and what I want to be doing in the future.

Until next time.
