Ok I admit I have been insanely slack in keeping up to date with my blogging bad bad bad. One of my New Years resolutions will be to keep more up to date with my blog, I also plan to be a lot more organised with keeping my friends and family up to date with my news, especially when the baby arrives which I am sure is going to feel a lot closer in the new year.
The last few weeks have been fairly busy but very good, I have had the last week and a half off from work which is exactly what I have needed, I have caught up on a lot of sleep which feels great and where pre-pregnancy I had no problems getting up at 7.00am most mornings I am not quite good at sleeping in until 9.00am and taking nanna naps in the afternoon on top of that, you gotta love it.
Christmas was pretty quiet but thats exactly how I like it. DH and I spent the day with my family for lunch and then DH's father and step mother came up from Devonport to stay with us for Christmas night. I do admit to having a lovely glass of sav blanc but as long as I drink it slowly or mix it with soda water I think it is ok, I am a big sav blanc fan and I don't think a glass here and there will hurt.
Baby G is getting a lot more active now which is amazing yet sometimes at night when I am trying to get to sleep frustrating. Baby G seems to be spending more and more time upside down so the last few days I have felt a few interesting kicks to the ribs. Most of the time baby G prefers my right side and kicking the buggary out of my bladder so one minute I will be fine and the next I am busting to go to the toilet.
My BF is due in Feb so I am also finishing last minute plans for her baby shower which will be on the 10th January. I am looking forward to it so I hope it all goes off without a hitch. I have organised baby gift bingo which I am hoping will make the opening of the gifts quite interesting, guess her size (the old toilet paper around the belly number), guess the baby food combo (I have been nice and selected mainly fruit combinations but I did throw in what looks like a tempting lamb number). I will think up one more game as a reserve as I am not sure how many you would usually play and I guess it will depend on the mood of everyone at the time.
Anyway, I am off to do a bit of last minute cooking for a dinner DH and I are going to tonight for New Years. I hope everyone has a lovely one
